Do you like to make money from your forum, or is your forum completely a hobby project. In case you like to monetize your forum how do you monetize it, through network ads, affiliate ads, sponsorship, membership, what else. How much do you normally make from your forum?

It’s just a hobby for me. I get absolutely nothing for it.

I didn't used to, but needed some extra cash these days so been posting article ad links of late, its safe and nets me enough money to even the bills out.

My hosting forum is a hobby project at the moment. Only when traffic increases substantially would it be a paid thing.

And as for the music performance one, it might always be a hobby, but with increased traffic it could be monetized, but I wouldn't want to, too much. Well, I have pondered a classified section as a moneymaker.

At the moment, my forum is a hobby for me, but I have monetised it with Google Adsense to help it become self-sustainable in time.

I also offer user upgrades, such as a VIP option and services that I offer in which members can purchase if they wish to help with the upkeep and support of the forum.

I like the idea of making money from my forum, but I’ve never monetized my forum because I haven’t been able to grow enough activity or traffic. Without a solid member base and engagement, ads, sponsorships, or memberships wouldn’t generate meaningful income. However, I have applied for adsense for my forum and I hope it gets accepted.
