Whether it's slow at work or slow to catch on to topics at school, it seems to be a big handicap in today's world. But is it something to be ashamed of ? Well, some would say the slow are lazy and/or fools. Well, on the movie Tommy Boy, Chris Farley is mocked because he went to college for 7 years, but he wasn't studying to be a doctor.

To be honest I also noticed a kind of slowness in the society even the banks are quite slow nowaday. You would queue for a very long time before you could withdraw your money. It's crazy though.

I don't think society is slow, I think you're going too fast lol

I'm telling you this from my own experience, because this happens to me too.

In today's world, one can't just afford to be slow. The world is so fast paced. And it is a huge disadvantage to be slow. In today's world, after something is good, the next question is "how fast"?

The truth is, we could never afford to be slow. It's just that before, being so disconnected due to the lack of internet, one might think that, but it was always like this. Life never stops, nor does time, so you have to have a balance but always move forward, never backward.

Slowness makes it difficult to make the same learning pace as others This causes one to develop poor confidence and low self esteem. Slow learners basically find it difficult to grasp new concepts rapidly due to a slower learning pace you might have poor critical thinking skills.

slowness makes you feel less of yourself. the disadvantage of it all is that people will see you as incompetent to handle any task and this might devalue you. it is very expedient to improve on your speed level soas not to slow down the progress of any system, Even the society frowns at this.

No matter how skilled you are, if you are slow in accomplishing tasks that you are highly skilled in, no one would regard you. In an era where things are measured by it's speed, internet speed, processor speed and the likes, being slow is atrocious just to be mild.

A generation that has instant noodles, instant messaging, and so many natural aspects that are instant doesn't tolerate slowness of any kind. Businesses are talking quick delivery nowadays. Financial systems are doing instant funds transfer within countries. It is a great disservice to be slow in this world now.
