Yes, everyone knows that there are too many content everywhere. Netflix, YouTube, TikTok, and even Twitter is amongst them. . Sometimes I spend 20 minutes just scrolling looking for what to watch. This is the reason why I just pick something randomly these days.

I don't get overwhelmed, I just focus on the things I know I enjoy. When people recommend that I watch something, if it's in a genre I like I'll give it a watch. Likewise if a video game sounds interesting to play, I'll look up some gameplay footage before I dive into the game and see if it's something I'd be into. I think this is the best way to approach anything in life, take it one step at a time and then you won't get overwhelmed!
No because if I'm interested, I will engage with it, if I'm not, I won't. As simple as that really.
You dressed up like everyone else,
You told me I had to look cool.
You taught me to dance and I danced all night,
The result of your values was a fool.

There's lots of junk to watch. There's lots of good stuff to watch, but for the good stuff, I don't have the time. I have to work a part-time job and then I got all sorts of projects.
