I wouldn't say NOT to do a pump, it's handy if you're going to be on insulin for the long term, like me. It's expensive, though, supplies aren't cheap, even with insurance, and it can get messy when they decide they want to have an attitude about things. But mostly it's a great way to just set things up and live your life.
